We require a commitment of at least one full school year. Usually a minimum of 10 months.

The parent or legal guardian must sign a Durable Power of Attorney and Child Care Contract.

An example of a good fit would be a boy who:
  • Comes from a family experiencing divorce, loss, disability, financial hardship, instability, or other significant challenges.
  • Can live safely in a family-style cottage with other boys and married cottage parents.
  • Can participate safely in school, church, recreation, work projects, and daily Ranch routines.
  • Is willing to follow adult direction, accept accountability, and work toward personal and family restoration.
  • Has a parent or legal guardian who will remain involved in visits, communication, service planning, and reintegration.
  • Resides in Florida or South Georgia.
  • Can succeed in our educational setting:
    • Boys in grades 2–6 attend a traditional local school.
    • Boys in grades 7–12 participate in a supervised virtual-school program.

Every application is reviewed individually. A diagnosis, past mistake, counseling history, or school difficulty does not automatically disqualify a boy. However, the Ranch cannot safely accept children whose current needs exceed the supervision, treatment, or
medical services we provide.

Current or past DCF, DJJ, court, or law-enforcement involvement must be fully disclosed and reviewed. Such involvement may affect eligibility but will be considered based on the circumstances and the Ranch’s ability to provide safe, appropriate care.

Requirements

To be considered for admission:

  • The applicant must be a boy between 7 and 17 years old.
  • A parent or legal guardian with placement authority must complete the application.
  • The family must provide complete and accurate information about behavioral, medical, mental-health, educational, legal, and placement history.
  • The boy must be able to participate safely in the Ranch’s structured Christian program.
  • The family must support Ranch expectations, school participation, church attendance, family involvement, and reintegration planning.
  • All required records must be received and reviewed before an intake can be scheduled.

Placement is generally intended to last approximately one school year, although the appropriate program length is determined individually.
